Electronic devices can legally be sold on the market only if they correspond to the standards of electromagnetic compatibility (EMC). In order to shorten the process of development and to lower the expenses required for multiple tests, it is convenient to use simulation for EMC. The current paper shows a simulation of the conducted emissions in the power supply network from switched mode power supply for LED lighting systems. The simulation is made using the CST STUDIO software product and the results are compared with real measurements made in an EMC testing facility

The article describes the design steps of a photovoltaic (PV) panel simulator device intended for the designers and manufacturers of PV inverters, to serve as a pre-compliance tool and simulator of a real PV panel. The simulator is divided into 3 parts - Maximum Power Point (MPP) simulator, impedance simulator and a 50 MHz spectrum analyzer. MPP simulator adjusts the output DC voltage and current according to the sun radiation, shading, temperature and other parameters. The impedance simulator is a circuit which impedance can be adjusted to match the one of a real PV panel. It acts as a variable impedance DC LISN for conducted interference measurements

The article presents the results of a measurement of the electromagnetic disturbances of a High Frequency (HF) plastic welding machine and their analysis. These types of machines are used in food processing, medical field, plastic or other dielectric material welding or heating. Because they operate with high power high frequency electromagnetic fields, they emit electromagnetic disturbances with high amplitudes up to several GHz. For these reasons, these machines are strictly regulated by standards for electromagnetic compatibility.
